1- Kaas Plateau, Maharashtra
A plateau of flowers! Locally known as the “Valley of flowers”, the Kaas Plateau has such picture postcard landscapes that could leave anyone gaping at the magic of nature in awe. The myriad variety of flowers, blooming in a riot of colours, rolling green hill slopes and the cascading waterfalls can give any computerized graphic of a landscape a run for their money. An ideal place for couples, and for shutterbugs, there is an ocean of magnificence to capture.

2- Gurudongmar Lake, Sikkim
Situated at a stature of 17,100 ft, Gurudongmar Lake in Sikkim is one of the most astounding lakes on the planet. According to legends, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, on his approach to Tibet, halted here to extinguish his thirst. With his stick, he broke the ice which prompted the arrangement of the lake. It is said that even amid the roughest winter, there is constantly some piece of the lake that remains unfrozen.

3- Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh
Get ready to expand in bewilderment, for Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh has the most picturesque green patches of land in North East India. Lined with an array of pretty little shelters, with a backdrop of the mighty mountain range, all covered with clouds, this place is surreal and utterly tranquil. Set the shutter timer, and pose! Every picture clicked here will be worth boasting around.
4- Phuktal Monastery, Ladakh
The Phuktal Monastery is one of its kind sanctums of the Buddhist community. The most striking part striking honeycomb structure of the monastery, built right under the cave entrance of the cliff it is located on. The monastery houses some 70 Buddhist monks and is built merely out of clay and twigs. The trek to this monastery is spellbinding as well. Visit this spot to get the feeling of being “on the edge!”
5- Maravanthe, Karnataka
A heaven worth heading to! The roads driving upto Maravanthe should be delved into for the sheer ecstasy of the drive (shockingly better in case you’re biking). The sea running parallel to the stretch is unquestionably something to do in Maravanthe. It is a virgin shoreline town whose white sand shorelines will encourage that break that you’ve been needing to take for so long.
